Aleta F. Lockridge, 85, of White Oak, TX passed away on June 2, 2018 at her residence in White Oak. She was born October 31, 1932 in Norphlet, Ark to Ellis Louis and Mattie Captoria Washington. Saying that Aleta loved to fish would be an understatement. She and George were always entering tournaments around the area lakes. She had accumulated a number of trophies and mounts that could be seen as you walk around her home. She was also very active at the VFW Post 1183 just outside of White Oak. In fact she had fished in their brim tournament a number of times.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: George Lockridge; two sons: Steven “Buddy” Thomas and Paul Albert Lockridge; grandparents: George and Annie Washington and John and Martha Smart. She is survived by her sister: Janis Washington Epley and her husband Wayne.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Randall Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Services are held under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home.
