Arthelia Dell Bridges

As a child, Arthelia showed promise in both academics and athletics, especially excelling on the basketball court. On June 12th, 1946, she married her beloved husband, Byron "Barney" Eugene Bridges, whom preceded in death. Two of her children, Teresa Charlene Harms and Bryan Eugene Bridges, also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her three children: Ramona Lee Bridges and her husband Roland Rodriguez, Chester Scott Bridges and his wife Ruth Miller Bridges, and Barry Wayne Bridges; her grandsons, Jeffrey Wayne Bridges, Cory Seth Bridges and his wife Elizabeth Kelley Bridges, granddaughter Lacy Dell Bridges and her fiancée Kane William Lindner; great grandchildren Becky Dollar and Gary Harms Jr both of Kingfisher Oklahoma and her great-grandchild, Connor Silas Bridges. Her loyal companion, Joey the dog, also mourns her loss.

Arthelia was known for her warm heart and dedication to family. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, including solving puzzles, creating crafts, and tending to her beautiful yard and home.

Arthelia's legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will live on through those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A graveside service for Arthelia will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Rosewood Park Cemetery, 1884 Farm to Market Road 1844, Longview, Texas 75605.
