Bobby B. Jones passed on Veterans day November 11, 2020. He was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Claude and Rose Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Darrell, Joe, George, Max and Billy; and three sisters, Mamie, Pat and Mary Fawn. A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be held 2 pm Monday, November 16, 2020 at The Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Rev. David Hampton officiating. My parents, Tom and Penny Price, were such close friends of Bob and Ruth Jones. I was little when our families would get together, but I remember lots of laughter! I also remember playing with Rita and Cindy and those are sweet childhood memories for me. I am thankful that my parents had Ruth and Bob as their close friends. As I got older I remember talking to Bob on the phone and immediately knew why people loved him. Such a kind person with such a great sense of humor! I love the Jones family and I send my sincerest condolences and prayers for comfort during this difficult time. Rest In Peace, Mr. Jones.

I met Bob in Jan, 1957 at Craig AFB, Selma,Ala. In short order we became good friends .We both met Scott McGinnis and Marvin Shelton and their families. We all lived in walking distance of each other. For eight years we all got together on weekends just like we all were family. Those years were lean but good.Bob and Scott played many musical instruments . We were always impressed with how good they were.We went fishing on ponds and rivers and played golf together. We told lots of stories.(Some lies) When Bob,Marvin and spouses visited us in 84 all us men went and played golf. After seeing Marvin move his ball after each hit I called him out. Bob Quickly told me "that's the way we play at home,,Oh well !We and our spouse's became best friends for life... Bob and Ruth visited me and Penny in later years and stayed 10 wonderful days. We returned the favor and visited them in Longview. After 3 weeks Bob said 'Tom,I have to ask you something." I asked what? He said "Are you planning on ever going home.? We had such a good time we forgot we didn't live there. Bob and I called each other the last few years and used the CAFB yearbook to point out who we were talking about. What great fun and memories. So much more to tell but I'll close by saying I am so thankful for having Bob and Ruth's name written in our book of friends. I love you both, Tom

My heart is broken. My love and prayers go out to you all - Ruth, Rita, Cindy and all the family. Bobby was my last uncle, the last of Mother's brothers and sister. I will miss you always, Uncle Bob. I can hear laughter & singing in Heaven because you're home now.
