

Carol Coston, 76, of Longview, passed away October 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born June 24, 1939 outside of Gilmer to Grayson and Von Dell Holloway. She married Jack Franklin Coston March 1, 1956, graduated high school, went to East Texas State University, TCJC, and the University of Mississippi, earning her Bachelor’s Degree Cum Laude. She enjoyed collecting things over the years, from Precious Moments collectibles to Thomas Kincaid prints. She was an English teacher working with Hallsville, Ft. Worth and Pine Tree School Districts over the years.
Mrs. Coston was a committed follower of God thru the saving mercies of Jesus Christ, a devoted, faithful wife and a self-sacrificing, loving mother.
She was a living example of one striving to imitate her savior, Jesus Christ. She believed in the righteousness, power and majesty of the Lord God. Hers was a real life model of placing God first, others second and herself last. Filled with limitless grace, mercy and unconditional love for others, she touched lives daily with kindness.
She lived out her belief that one should do the right thing because it is the right thing, no matter the cost or inconvenience to self.
Devoted to one man, she epitomized the role of soul mate and lifelong marital partner. A mother who loved with all of her heart and poured herself out so completely that she had few peers. She was a treasure and will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Coston of Longview, sons: Michael Coston and his wife Diane of San Diego, CA, and Wayne Coston and his wife Sally of Paris, TX; grandchildren: SueHay Neville and her husband Chris of Greenville, TX, Christopher Coston and his wife Nikki of Paris, TX, Candace Coston of Paris, Kyle Coston of Hungary, Kaley Coston of Paris, TX, Brittney Kolman of Provo, UT, Kylee Kolman of Provo, UT, and Nate Kolman of Kansas City, MO; seven great grandchildren; brother: Jerry Holloway and his wife Susie of Burleson, TX, and sister: Kay Woods of Albuquerque, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Ritchie Hamm officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX.
