Cynthia Dianne Baker

Dianne was born on October 2, 1950, in Henderson, Texas, to James C. and Mattie Elmina (Pool) Freeman. She married the love of her life, Darl Baker, on April 24, 1970, and together they raised five children.

Dianne briefly worked at Dairy Queen and later volunteered as a candy striper at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas, while Darl attended the University of Texas at Austin. She was devoted to her faith and was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in White Oak, Texas.

Her family and friends will always remember Dianne as a soft-spoken, gentle, and loving mother who cherished her husband and children above all else. Her kindness, unwavering faith, and unconditional love for her family will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.

Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Mattie Elmina (Pool) Freeman; her husband, Darl Baker; her son, Donovan Baker; her brothers, William Freeman, Earl Freeman, and J.C. Freeman Jr.; and her sisters, Betty Jo Hippler, Wanda Kelley, Kay Holt, and Margaret Ann Freeman.

She is survived by her children, David Baker and his wife, Cristy, of White Oak, Texas; Dominic Baker of Plano, Texas; Dionna Rice and her husband, Jeremy, of Fort Worth, Texas; and Dara Hammond and her husband, Ryan, of White Oak, Texas.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Beth Western, Mason Baker, Cole Hass, Garett Hass, Kase Rice, Levi Hammond, and Jonah Hammond; and her great-grandson, Bennett Western.

Her surviving siblings include Paul Freeman, Robert Freeman, and Fay Scarborough.

Dianne’s family invites those who knew and loved her to remember her for the gentle spirit, strong faith, and unconditional love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 501 US Hwy 80 E, White Oak, TX 75693.

Cynthia Dianne Baker will be honored with a visitation at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX 75604, US, on August 27, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 501 US-80, White Oak, TX 75693, US, on August 28, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by Old East Mountain Cemetery at 265 Robin Ln, Gladewater, TX 75647, US, on August 28, 2026, at 11:30 am.
