

Douglas Taylor (Buck) Crawford, 81, of Lake o’ the Pines passed away on January 29, 2015 at a local hospital. Buck was born October 8, 1933 in Calhoun, LA to Oscar Taylor and Alice Nicklaus Crawford. After high school, he went to Panola College before entering the Air Force and was honorably discharged after the passing of his father, so that he could care for his family. Soon after, Mr. Crawford met Margaret Jo Wilson and they were married May 4, 1958. Buck worked as a supervisor for Eastman Kodak until his retirement in 1991 after over 38 years of service. Buck enjoyed bowling in the Eastman Bowling League; and fishing and camping at Lake o’ the Pines, so much so, that after his retirement, they moved to the lake.
Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret of Lake o’ the Pines, TX; daughter: Candice Anne Crawford Parish and her fiancé John Brown of Sachse, TX; son: Damon Taylor Crawford and his wife Debbie of Longview; and a nephew: Taylor Dan Crawford of San Leon, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Jerry and Michael Dean Crawford.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Memory Park Mausoleum Chapel, 2823 East Marshall Avenue, Longview, TX, at the cemetery, not at the funeral home, with visitation starting at 1.
