Doyce Boyde McIlveene was born in Kilgore, Texas on October 17, 1943 to Jessiebee Hampton McIlveene and Stella Mae Rogers McIlveene. He was the third of six children. Boyde is preceded in death by his parents, an older sister, Bette Anderson, and two brothers, Eugene and Richard McIlveene. Boyde is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dell Marie (Tina) McIlveene, and three children: Wesley Shawn Crofford, Timothy Elijah Crofford, and Shannon Dawn Crofford-Hays. Also two grandchildren, Katelynn Nicole Crofford and Levi Joshua Hays. Two sisters, who reside in Longview, Leola Joyce McNatt and her husband Charles McNatt, Rose Leaverne Bolomey and her husband Steve. Nephews Eddie, Jamie and Adam Maldonado, Alex and Carl McNatt and Dyanna McNatt Jones. Boyde and Tina have lived in White Oak since 1983, where he died in their home of Stage 4, Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma, March 27. Boyde Graduated Salutatorian from Sabine High School, and attended Kilgore College, before joining the US Air Force. He served 8 years in the Air Force, including in Vietnam. He worked at Raytheon, Electronic Business Machines, Le Tourneau, and Target Distribution Center in Lindale where he retired in 2008. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Funeral Services will be at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery Saturday, March 30th at 11 am, on Harrison Road in Longview with a visitation Friday, March 29, 2019 at Lakeview Funeral Home.
