Edwin Wayne McClendon, 60, of Longview, TX passed away on July 29, 2012 at a local hospital. Mr. McClendon was born on March 7, 1952 in Freeport, Texas to Lloyd George and Bernice Mable Pond McClendon.
Edwin graduated from Brazos Port High School and went on to Southwest Texas University. Mr. McClendon was a pipefitter for Dow Chemical until recently he started working for Glazer Distributors.
Mr. McClendon enjoyed being outside, especially going fishing and sometimes watching baseball.
He is survived by three daughters: Kate Blais and her husband Denis of Katy, TX, Kelly York and her husband Collin of Katy, TX, and Melissa Mathews of Longview; Grandchildren: Mason Blais, Claire Blais and Shaylee York; Sister: Joan Cobb of Longview; Brother: Brent McClendon of Gladewater. He was preceeded in death by his parents, and brother: George McClendon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX with Rev. Dick Lindsey officiating.
