When the Hogg family moved to Longview, I became "Besties" with Gena, their only daughter. Our families camped together, went to church together, ate together, cried together and laughed together. Uncle Gene, I will miss you. Your twinkle in your eyes, your praying at church prayer and just hanging out. I love you much

There are not enough words to describe what a wonderful man Gene Hogg was. The epitome of everything a Christian should be he portrayed in fine fashion. Brother Hogg will be greatly missed but we have the assurance he heard his Savior say “Well Done”. What a day that will be when we see our loved ones again and never have to say goodby. Love you Bro. Hogg, love you Sis. Hogg and Gena and family, Michael and Patti Splechter

I’ve known Papa for over 40 years, being Gena’s sister-in-law. I haven’t known a more sincere and loving person ever. He loved me as his own, Momsie & Papa both. They both loved my son, Matthew Walker, as one of their own grandsons. My heart is with Momsie and family, loving them so much. Papa will be missed so much...
All our love,
Roger and Janet
