Floyd loved winning big at the casinos when he was able, and watching game shows on TV. If he wasn't fishing, Floyd enjoyed precious moments with his pride and joy, grand and great-grandchildren. Floyd was the type of man who would help anyone he could; he was such a good person and will truly be missed by all.
Floyd is survived by; daughter Mary Jean and (husband) Steven Cawthon Sr. of White Oak, TX; sister Billie Jo Whittle of Gladewater, TX; granddaughters Misty Hillin and (fiancé) Travis Hawley of Avinger, TX, Angel and Matthew Cotton of Nacogdoches; grandson Steven Cawthon Jr. TX; and 3 great-grandchildren Avery, Aiden and Colton of Avinger, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Floyd is preceded in death by his loving Wife Frances Shepard; Mother Johnnie Hickson and Father Claude H Shepard; Sisters Claudie Shepard and Evelyn Evans; Brothers James and Troy Shepard.
Serving as pallbearers are David Cawthon, Kevin Cawthon, William Irby, Jessie Hall, Jimmy Smith and Chris Smith.
A time of visitation with Floyd's family will be held Thursday, May 16th, 2019 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 17th, 2019 at 10:00 AM, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 W Harrison Rd, Longview, Texas 75604.
