Fred worked for Hallsville Independent School District in the maintenance department. He loved baseball and coaching during the summers, he also loved to travel.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 68 years and 8 months, Gayle Phillips and siblings, Ramona Morton and Marion Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers are Shon Barker, Makenzie Barker and Scott Barker.
A time of visitation with his family for Fred will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home Mausoleum Chapel, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, Texas 75604, followed by a celebration of his life at 10:30 AM with the Reverends Chris Robeson and John Wallingford officiating.
Contributions in Fred's memory may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church "Building Fund" or to a charity of your choice.
