George Junior O. Murrell Jr.

Junior entered his earthly life on August 19, 1923 and began his eternal new life Friday morning, June 22, 2012. He was an example of humility and unconditional love. He rarely met anyone that he didn’t number as a friend, and reminded us all of the simple joys of life. He will be sorely missed, but we rejoice in the fact that he is with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Those who preceded him to Heaven were mother Ida Mae Browning Murrell, father George Orville Murrell, Sr., sister Lois Mae Skinner, and nephews Bruce Eldon Porter and “Scooter” Boyd. Those left to cherish his memory are sisters Dorothy Farmer of Ft. Worth, TX, Orvillene Boyd and husband Jay of Arp, TX and Norma Hudson of Longview, TX; also nieces and nephews James Farmer of Ft. Worth, TX, Cynthia McPherson and husband Gary of Decatur, Alabama, Jean Reid and husband Randy of Waco, TX, Cathy Sellers and husband Mike of Ore City, TX, “Rocky” Boyd and wife Chree of Pearland, TX, Tammy Stiles of Arp, TX, and David Hudson of Houston, TX. Others to cherish his memory are 16 great nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be today at Lakeview Funeral Home, Longview, TX from 2-3:00 P.M. , with services to follow in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.
