May 17, 1932 – October 28, 2026
Grace , 94, of Longview, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2026.
Grace was born on May 17, 1932, in Georgetown, Texas, to William and Lovie Pipkin. She was raised in Smithville, Texas, and later attended and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
Grace was first married to Raymond Chrastecky, with whom she was blessed with two children, Terry and Karen. She later married Bill Purdy, whom she lovingly referred to as the love of her life, and later Bill Anderson.
Above all, Grace was a devoted and loving mother. Her children were her greatest blessings, and she poured her heart into loving and caring for them. She had a special way of making those around her feel loved, valued, and cherished.
In her spare time, Grace enjoyed crocheting, reading, traveling, and spending precious time with her family. She found joy in life’s simple moments and treasured the memories made with those she loved.
Grace will forever be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unconditional love. She was a woman who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. To know Grace was truly to love her.
Grace once said, “If you don’t have love, you don’t have anything at all.” Those words perfectly describe the beautiful life she lived and the love she so freely gave.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved son, Terry.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Karen Chrastecky; her great-niece, Rebecca Williams; daughter in law Ellen Chrastecky; her stepdaughter, Linda Pemberton; and her devoted caregiver and dear friend, Dana Wilkins, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones.
Though Grace’s time on earth has come to an end, the love she shared, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Her life was a beautiful reminder that love is truly the greatest gift we can leave behind.
