Hannah Joy Pipes

Joy was born September 27, 1935 in Brenham, TX to T.J. and Geraldine Felchak. The oldest of six children, she attended Bellville High School and received her nursing degree from Tyler Junior College, where she met her husband Larry Lee Pipes. Together they had three children. Joy’s love extended beyond her family as she worked with children through Henderson ISD as a Registered Nurse for 55 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, brother, Walter Lee Felchak, Sister Jan Felchak McGuire, and her parents. Joy is survived by her daughters: Van de Lee Pipes Boyd and her husband Mike of The Woodlands, Jana Pipes Cox and her husband Harold of Lake Cherokee; son: Larry Lee Pipes, II and his wife Tandy of Pine Hill; sister: Cody Hughey and her husband Charlie; brother: Buddy Felchak and his wife Shirley; brother: Andy Felchak; brother-in-law: David McGuire; grandchildren: Brandon Boyd and his wife Melody, Maleiah Rogers and her husband Ryan, Micah Hernandez and her husband Chris, Casey Fisk and her husband David, Adam Cox and his wife Rachel, Dalton Pipes, and Hanlee Pipes; great grandchildren: Everlee Rogers, Vance Hernandez, Colt Boyd, Preslee Hernandez, Berkley Boyd, Brennon Fisk, Owen Fisk, Conner Fisk, and Dylan Cox.

A celebration of Joy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX. Services will be officiated by Pastor Shawn Heatherly.
