Ione Onie, Ennie or Womie Lucille Alfred Ward

She was born in Timpson, Texas on May 15, 1915, and was affectionately called "Onie," "Ennie" and

"Womie" by her family and friends. She married the late Emmett Taylor Ward on December 11, 1938.

Ione is a member of Victory Assembly of God Church. She loved cooking and taking special care of

her family and friends.

Ione will be greatly missed by her daughter, Karen Beck and the late Richard Beck of Baytown, Texas;

Daughter and son-in-law, Don and Sherry Estes of Elijay, Georgia; and her son and daughter-in-law,

Carey and Joan Ward of Longview, Texas. She was so proud of her grandchildren, Jerel Shivers of

Longview, Robyn Beck of Austin, Curt Estes and wife Katherine of Austin, Allyson and husband Jeff

Bock of Diana, Ashley and husband Paul du Feu of Longview and Allena and husband Ryan Newlin of

Longview. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Coltyn Shivers, Sean Bock and Sierra

Bock of Longview; nieces, Jane Bradbery and Sara Jeffcoat of Houston, Texas; and numerous

cousins.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at Lakeview Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis

Brown officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Her family will greet family and

friends from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Lakeview Funeral Home.
