Jan J.G., Bob, Boo Gilliam Burandt

Mr. Burandt passed away May 14, 2011. He was born April 29, 1937, in Longview, Texas, to Willis Lane and Christine Gilliam Burandt. J.G., Bob, or Boo, depending on what your nick name for him was, was loved by everyone that met him. He worked for many years in the oil field and has numerous friends. He could make the worst situations bearable with his outgoing personality, winning smile, and numerous “one liners”.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Ruth Burandt; sisters, Donna Mullins and husband Mike; Cherie Pringle and husband Mark, and Millee Allen and husband Steve; cousins, Alan Roddy, Jeff Burandt, Charles Burandt, and Cecile Fulgham; sister in law and her family, Judy Cameron, Darla Allen and family, Rhett Criddle and family, Wes Criddle and family, and Darren Criddle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

A visitation will be held after the services at Bodacious Bar-B-Que, Hwy 42 and I-20 immediately following the service.

In lieu of the usual floral remembrances the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
