Funeral services for Jimmy Don Dixon, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017, at Lakeview Funeral Home.
Mr. Dixon was born October 22, 1944 in Henderson, Texas to Roy and Janice Boles Dixon and passed away on August 13, 2017 in Longview, Texas. Mr. Dixon was a heavy equipment operator for Gregg County Precinct 3, Mason, and a Vietnam War Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
Jimmy Don married Jessie Roberts on New Year’s Eve 2013. They shared a passion for fast cars and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife, Jessie P. Roberts, son, Jimmy Don Dixon, Jr., daughter, Theresa Hasler, granddaughters, Ciera Haskins, and Madison Dixon, as well as great granddaughter, Embrley Rodriguez.
Our “Paw” will be greatly missed. As a father, grandfather, great grandfather and most importantly, our best friend. A man with a heart of gold. We have now gained an Angel from above.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m.
