Joe Duncan, Sr.

Joe Duncan, Sr., 78, of Hallsville passed away January 17, 2019 in Longview, TX. He was born September 12, 1940 in Harlingen, TX to George and Lucille Carlisle Duncan. He married Carolyn Latham Hulsey on June 16, 1978 in Longview. He was the owner of Duncan Roadrunner wrecker service.

Joe is survived by his wife Carolyn of Hallsville, sons: Joeboy Duncan and his wife Sonvya of Longview; son: Robbie Duncan and wife Candi of Gilmer; son: Robert Hulsey of Seattle, WA; daughter: Carrie Brenner and her husband Stephen of Harmony, TX; daughter: Kris Hulsey of Hallsville; grandchildren: Christopher, Darrin, Susannah, Dalton, Nathan; great grandchildren: Kennah, Kessley, Alex, Sam; sister: Martha Maynard of Gladewater; aunt: Jerry Duncan of Henderson; the mother of his children, Evelyn Parker and her husband Jim of Gilmer; family friend: Melvin Watley of Longview as well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister: Maxine; brother: Lee, grandsons: Josh Bryan, Dustin Duncan and Bradley Brenner.

A service to celebrate Joe's life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, with a time of visitation with his family starting at 2 until service time. Rev. Kenneth Mills and Shawn Rhodes will officiate the services. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made in his honor to the Shriners Hospital or St. Jude.
