Funeral services for Katherine Louise Smith Gordon, 90, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22nd at Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview with Richard Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Gordon died Sunday, December 19, 2010 in the Clairmont Nursing Home.
She was born March 14, 1920 in Bellevue, La., the third of 12 children of Joel Humphrey and Ina Bell Dansby Smith. Her parents and siblings Melba, Edith, Dorothy, Joel Jr., Laura, Glen and Gloria preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband Bill Gordon; two sons and their wives Murvil Byrd and Eleanor and Bobby Byrd and Ann of Longview, three grandchildren, Ginger Dudjak and husband Scott of Sugar Land, TX; Bobby Wayne Byrd and wife Darbie of McKinney, TX; Tracie Davis and husband Jeff of Missouri City, TX; five great grandchildren, Kennedy Dudjak, Rylie and Fynlee Davis and Brett and Brooke Byrd; four brothers and their wives, Jimmy Smith and Eloise, Gary Smith and Silvia, George Smith and Dorothy of Longview and Jack Smith of Euless, TX; sister in law Nettie Smith of Longview and numerous nieces and nephews.
