Kenneth Wayne Carroll better known as “Ken”, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on May 8, 2016. Kenneth was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and brother-in-law. Kenneth loved fishing and his houseboat. Kenneth was a master at cooking crawfish. He loved his brothers and sisters dearly and he adored his children and grandchildren. He was quoted as saying “ his greatest treasure in life was his wife Joyce”. Kenneth was born with a twin sister in Center, Texas on April 5, 1943 to parents Jessie Florence Brittain Carroll and Dudley Clifford Carroll. He was a graduate of Joaquin High School in 1961. On February 7, 1963 he married his high school sweetheart, and the love of his life Joyce Ann Windham. They were married in Center, Texas. Kenneth took great pride in being an expert metal worker. He worked for Custom Fab, Kingtool, Trinity, Letourneau and finally retiring from Norris Cylinder. He was of Pentecost religion and a member of the NRA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Carroll and his father Dudley Carroll. His infant brother Dudley Clifford Carroll. His sister Betty Sue Carroll Johnson and his other sister Cynthia Louise Carroll. Also infant grandson Dakota Douglas Carroll son of Steve Carroll, and his mother-in-law Dovie Katherine Windham.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Carroll of Diana, Texas. His sister Elois Carroll Anthony of Houston, Texas. His twin sister Edith Carroll McBride and husband Riley of Shreveport, Louisiana. His sister Barbara Stroud of Longview, Texas. His brother David Carroll and wife Kayse of Logansport, Texas. His sister Sharon Carroll Miller and husband Jerry of Longview, Texas. His brother James Carroll and wife Debra of Whitehouse, Texas. His son Steve Carroll and wife Kim of Gilmer, Texas. His son Ron Carroll of Texas. His daughter Sonia Carroll Beck and her husband Scott of Longview, Texas. His sister-in-law Penny Windham Risinger and husband Robert of Diana, Texas. Two grandchildren Sara Sallee of Longview, Texas and Kristen Beck of Longview, Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Lakeview Funeral Home, his nephew Pastor Eugene McBride, the son of Edith and Riley McBride will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the funeral home.
