Kay was born November 29, 1963 in Carthage, TX and is now dancing in the sky. She fought a courageous fight while trying to overcome her battle with cancer, but the Lord called her home. She passed away February 14, 2018 at the age of 54. Missing her is her devoted mother: Wanda Langford; sons: Zackery Thompson and his fiancée Brittnie Mathis of Marshall and Dylan Thompson of Harleton; her sister: Debbie Shelton and her husband Robert of Longview; nieces: Dana Deitz and her husband Michael and Shelby Shelton of Longview; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father: Bobby Langford.
Kay graduated from Longview High School, Class of 1982, and was employed at Pyramid Medical. She loved being outdoors, gardening, camping, fishing and was an avid cornhole player.
Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Lakeview Funeral Home. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Harp officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
