SSGT Kristopher Andrew Wiesner

Kristopher Andrew Wiesner, 35, Austin, Texas, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was born July 31, 1978 in Longview, Texas, the son of Mitch Wiesner of Austin, Texas and Linda LeMay of Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Delaney Wiesner; maternal grandparents, Henry and Dean LeMay; paternal grandmother, Marie Wiesner; uncles, Jerry LeMay and Harold Williams. Kristopher was a Staff Sergeant with the West Virginia Army National Guard. Prior to that Kris served his country for nine years, which included two tours of duty in Iraq and a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Kris loved his military life and military family.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his son, Skylar Delaney-Wiesner, 10, of Scott Depot, West Virginia; brothers, Jeremy Wiesner of Austin, Texas and Gabe Wiesner of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by paternal grandfather, Arthur Wiesner of Bastrop, Texas; uncles, don LeMay of Longview, Texas; Doug LeMay of Hudson, Indiana; Randy Wiesner of Bastrop, Texas; cousins, Robbi Mauldin; Jacob LeMay; Jordon LeMay; and Corey Wiesner; step-sisters, Jessica Trione, Savannah Willburn and Chelsea Willburn; as well as numerous loving extended family and friends. A visitation was held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the funeral home, with interment with military honors to follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to his military family at the West Virginia Army Guard along with all the prayers and condolences received by all who have known and loved Kris and his family.
