Fond memories helping Mr Leon work on the truck he named the purple turtle. Always admired the care and pride he took in keeping his trucks in tip top shape.

Leon you’ve climbed this old winding hill of life, kick her up in high gear and let the black smoke roll, you’ve earned it.

Mr. Leon was a heavy haul legend. It was always fun to chat with him while waiting on a load. I remember loading out some motor packages headed to west Tx, he told me across the radio “if your ready let’s go. I know you won’t be able to keep up but do the best ya can” this was right after he installed his new motor from New York. Leon always made the day go by with a smile and laugh. I’ve been out he heavy haul business for 12 years now and lost contact. Hated to hear the news. Mr Leon I hope your new KW in heaven is covered in chrome. Rest easy my friend.

Our prayers go out to Leon's family. May the good Lord comfort you during this time of loss. We love all of you. We will always remember Leon as a favorite brother and uncle. He was fun loving and always did his best to show how much he cared about everybody and made sure that you had a great time when you were with him. He is now with his beloved Emma!
