Linda Thompson, 56, of Hallsville, Texas passed away on January 4, 2014 at her residence in Hallsville. She was born on January 4, 1958 in Nassau, Oregon to Eugene and Florence Elizabeth Huffman Dunn. She married Kenneth Alan Thompson on January 21, 1974 in Andalusia, Alabama. She has served as a registered nurse throughout her life working in hospitals and hospices in the area. She was a member of the Peace Fellowship in Gilmer, Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Kenneth Thompson of Hallsville; son: Brian Thompson and his wife Christi of Hallsville; daughter: Kimberly Scavone and her husband Mike of Longview; sister: Laretta Wintters and her husband Ricky of Arp, TX; brother: Larry Brasher and his wife Wendy of Ozark, AL; grandchildren: Anthony Scavone of Longview, Nicholas Scavone of Longview, and Maci Thompson of Hallsville; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A service to honor her memory will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Greggton United Methodist Church, 1101 Pine Tree Road, Longview, TX 75604 under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home.
