Louise was a loving wife and partner to Richard Lloyd Wilson for over 43 years. She was also a beloved mother to her only son, Erick.
Louise was born March 12, 1937 in Longview, Texas. She was the daughter of Louis and Mildred Bennett. She graduated from Longview High School in 1955 and obtained her B.A. from Henderson State University in 1968. Louise then enrolled in a Ph. D. program in psychology at Texas A&M, Commerce. She received her Ph. D. in 1976 and moved to Arkansas where she taught at Henderson State University for one year. In 1979, Louise moved to Tyler, Texas and began work at Rusk State Hospital, first as a psychologist and then as a unit director. In 1988 she became Chief Psychologist for East Texas Regional MHMR (The Andrews Center). She retired in 1997 to pursue interests in painting and genealogy. Louise met Richard Wilson in 1979 and they have been constant companions, traveling the world and enjoying their life together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Richard, son and daughter-in-law Erick and Jackie Sailor of Longview, Texas, sister Kay Cunningham of Longview, Texas, Stepdaughter Lynda Starnes (Bob Snoddy) of Plano, Texas, grandchildren Matthew (Jackie) and Bryan Sailor, step grandchildren Jeffery Starnes (Heather), Stephanie Brown (Jeff), and Leigh-Ann Cambern (Ryan). Louise also had great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Sailor, Ellias Sailor, Benjamin and Graeme Starnes, Charlotte and Caleb Brown, and Hudson and Harper Cambern along with many nieces and nephews.
