Marcella Evelyn Bertrand Cherry, 94, of Kilgore, passed away March 10, 2015 at a local nursing center. She was born October 8, 1920 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to L.H. and Nancy Elizabeth Bertrand. She married Ben T. Cherry on July 4, 1936 in Seminole, OK. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1996. She was a member of the Eastview Church of God in Kilgore.
She is survived by her son: Glen Cherry and his wife Patricia of Kilgore; daughter: Maryetta Jane Woods of Snyder, TX; 14 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren as well as a number of great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter: Wanda L. Bradshaw and one sister, Roberta.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Rev. Donald G. Herring officiating. Interment will follow in Kilgore Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1 until service time.
