Marlene was born on August 28, 1938 in Tacoma Washington to Dorothy Dean Dubuisson and Mason Harold MacMonagle. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1956 and worked at Southwestern Bell. She met and married Billy Gerone Mills on November 1st 1956 in Tacoma, Washington. Together, they had three children: Rickey Gerone Mills, Deanna Lyne Mills, and Robbie Lynn Mills. They moved to Gladewater, Texas and Marlene began working for Southwestern Bell in Longview, Texas. Marlene retired from AT&T in 1990.
She is preceded in death by her: mother, Dorothy Dean Dubuisson; father, Mason Harold MacMonagle; son, Rickey Gerone Mills; great grandson Keaton Thomas Lambert.
She is survived by her: children, Deanna Lyne Mills and Robbie Lynn Mills; grandchildren, Tameka Lorene Mills, Rickey Gerone Mills, Kristy Lynn Mills Lambert, Jeremy Cole Mills, Frank Leighton Sides, Jr., and Jeffrey Dwayne Sides; numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation for Marlene will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX 75604, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
