

Mary Emerson, 74, of Longview, TX passed away August 24, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born October 16, 1941 in Conway, Arkansas to Fred and Lorraine Zachary Treadaway. Mrs. Emerson is a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Longview and was involved in Women’s Ministries. She loved to take care of her family and others. She was a wonderful cook and especially loved to bake. She loved caring for her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son: Robert Emerson and his wife: Linda of Lufkin; daughters: Anita Carden and her husband James of Bethany, OK, Sandra Schroeder and her husband Michael of Castle Rock, CO and Cara Herbert and her husband: Carlton of Longview; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother: Fred Treadaway, Jr of California; sister: Geraldine Treadaway of California; brothers-in-law: Eudell Stroud of Arkansas and Jim Rowe of Washington State. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband-Raymond E. Emerson, son-Gregory L. Emerson and four sisters: Barbara, Janet, Melba and Patsy.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Lakeview Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, with Rev. Mark Hendrick officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
