Mary Lipscomb

She was born on June 9, 1945 in Gilmer, TX to William Howard Weaver and Anna Francis Jones. Mary was raised in Longview, TX and attended Pine Tree and Spring Hill Schools. She married Billy Lon Lipscomb in 1963 and the couple has 4 children. She was a retired door greeter at Walmart where she worked for more than 17 years.

In her spare time, Mary enjoyed listening to country music, cooking, shopping, keeping up with friends on social media, reading her Bible, going out to eat at restaurants - especially for catfish! She really loved coffee, makeup and jewelry, parakeets and cats. Her family and friends will always remember her as a Christian, caring mother, and loyal friend. She was a huge fan of Kenny Rogers, Alan Jackson, and George Strait.

Mary is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Christy Lynn, husband, Billy Lipscomb, and brothers, Tommy Weaver and Gene Weaver.

She is survived by her brothers, Jimmie and John Paul (Nelda), brother-in-law Benny Gregg, son Billy (Sheri), daughter Lisa (David), son Lonnie, grandchildren James (Jennifer), granddaughter Frankie, and grandsons Stuart, Joshua (Charity), and Matthew. She had 3 great-granddaughters, Melanie, Samantha, and Annabeth, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation for Mary will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX 75604. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 19, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Memory Park Cemetery, 2823 E Marshall Ave, Longview, TX 75601. A committal service will follow.
