Mary Katherine “Kathy” Upshaw, 55, of Longview, TX. passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in a local hospital. Kathy was born August 30, 1956 in Eldorado, Arkansas to Harold Gibson and Mary O’Toole. She was a graduate of Kilgore High School, and later married Robert Upshaw.
Mrs. Upshaw is survived by her husband: Robert of Longview, TX.; son: Scott Elderedge of Ft. Worth, TX; Father: Harold Gibson and wife Barbara of Liberty City, TX; mother: Mary Sowell of Michigan; Brother: Jimmy Gibson of Ohio; Stepsisters: Susie Philpot and her husband Steve of Kilgore, TX, Kim Akins and her husband Gary of Longview, TX; Mother-in-Law: Julie Fiveash of Longview, TX; Brothers-In-Law: Ron Upshaw of Marion, Ill, Ken Dunaway and his wife Debbie of Longview, TX; Sister-in-law: Joyce Watson and her husband Richard of Longview, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceeded in death by her sisters-in-law: Carole Conroy, Sheri Upshaw, and Cindy Dunaway.
A gathering in her memory will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 between 2 and 4:00 P.M. at 413 Norcross, Longview, TX 75604.
