Patricia Elizabeth Lovell

July 18, 1925December 14, 2018

Patricia (Pat) Elizabeth Lovell, later in life known as ‘Granny’, 93, of Gilmer, Texas passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at home. She was born July 18, 1925 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Curtis and Janie Turner. She was a hardworking woman who loved her family and would do anything for them. Pat lived a very full life and was the epitome of “what you see is what you get.” She always spoke her mind and didn’t sugar coat it. She was a loyal, loving and giving mother and very stern when she needed to be. She cared for her family so much that she had up to three jobs at one time just to make sure they had everything they needed. She would turn on someone in a heartbeat if they were messing with her kids, even if they were wrong, she had their backs no matter what. She was loved, respected and will be missed dearly. Pat is survived by Donnie Lovell (Matthew Diaz), Dee Dee Thomas (Dennis), Richard Lovell (Diane), Delwin Lovell (Seleta), Odine Devers (Dave) and Tommy Horn (Angel), Jane Turner Barrera (Art) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters, a daughter Patty Ogelsby and husband Donal Samuel Lovell.

Loved visiting with Granny while in Gilmer. She was so feisty. She was always excited to see Gizmo and he loved sitting with her.
Granny will be missed! Prayers for the family!
