Patricia R Morton

She was born on June 18, 1935 in Waco, Texas to John and Pearl McEnrue. Pat was raised in Waco, Texas and graduated from Waco High School in 1952.

She married Billy Joyce Morton in 1952 and the couple had 4 children. They moved to East Texas in 1970 and lived in Liberty City for almost 50 years. Pat was a long time member of First Baptist Church Liberty City. She was a homemaker and worked in Food Services at Sabine ISD for many years.

In her spare time, Pat enjoyed spending time with her friends, shopping, going to the movies, sewing, crafting, being involved in church ministries and activities, tending to her multiple plants and decorating abundantly for every holiday. Pat loved big and with her whole heart and never met a stranger. Pat's biggest love was for her family and she loved each and everyone immensely, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her for giving the biggest and longest hugs and using multiple emojis when texting. There are so many things to share about Pat. She loved the Lord and we will cherish her in our hearts forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Johnny, and her husband Billy Morton.

She is survived by her children: Michael Morton (Cynthia), Vicky Warlick (Mike), Matt Morton and Patti Hodges (Riley); grandchildren: Cheyenne Alexander (Craig), Eric Olson (Maggie), Staci Freeman (Tyler), Jenna Warlick (Amanda), Lauren Jones, Leslie Hodges and Lacy Junkin (Derek); as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Bob Allen (fiancee) and friends that were like family.

Pallbearers: Michael Morton, Matt Morton, Mike Warlick, Riley Hodges, Eric Olson, and Craig Alexander.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Liberty City, 4714 FM 1252 W, Kilgore, TX 75662, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
