Patricia Stanley

Patricia (Trish to her husband and family) was born August 10, 1940 to Walter Hutson Kokernot Jr and Alice Lucille Ward Kokernot She lived the majority of her life in Longview, and was graduated from Longview High School in 1957.

Her husband, Travis Stanley, preceded her to heaven's embrace October 3, 2024. She is survived by her son David and his wife Martha, her daughter, Angelia, and her granddaughter, Lauren and her husband Nic, and her grandson Cameron.

Trish was a devout Christian and a devoted wife and mother, aunt and grandmother. She tirelessly worked alongside Travis when they opened their own business in 1969. She served as her husband's secretary, bookkeeper, receptionist, decorator, public relations director, and custodian. She was "the vice president in charge of everything."

Trish was a person who would help anyone in her circle of family and friends, whether they be her child who needed help with an art project, a neighbor who needed her recipe for cornbread, or a church member who needed her kind comfort. For her, to refuse any reasonable request was to lose the focus of her life's purpose: to be of help, no matter the situation.

It is difficult to imagine a person who led a more purpose-driven life than she did; Patricia practiced what she preached! Her faith in her Lord and Savior's plan was easily evident, ever present, and, even to the difficult end of her life, unequivocal.

Rest in peace, Trish...

A time of visitation will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX 75604, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM.
