Paul Owen Williams, 60, passed away March 15, 2019 peacefully at home in Longview, TX surrounded by family and friends after a lengthy battle with cancer. Paul was born in Longview, TX to Doug and Joanne Williams on January 19, 1959. He graduated from Pine Tree High school in 1978 and went on to pursue a career in Distribution Management. Paul ended his career after 10 years with Genpak in Longview. Paul was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, friend and extraordinary Pawpaw. Paul never met a stranger, always made friends wherever he was, and was never seen without a smile on his face. Paul was an avid Cowboys fan and loved tailgating at the games and having weekly cookouts with his friends. He loved Jimmy Buffett, playing with his grandchildren and sitting on the beach in his happy place.
Paul is preceded in death by his mother Joanne Williams. He is survived by his father Doug Williams; his daughter Rachel Dobbs, husband Morgan and their three children Owen, Isabelle and Paisley; his son Joe Williams and his longtime girlfriend Mallori Hardaway. He is also survived by three brothers; Mike Williams and wife Theresa; Pat Williams and wife Dianna; Tim Williams and wife Kim; two sisters; Mary Kay Williams; Theresa Ann Walker and husband Robert. Paul is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a very large extended family.
A Rosary will be held in the chapel at Lakeview Funeral Home in Longview, TX on Wednesday March 20, 2019 from 5-5:30 pm with visitation to follow from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Longview on Thursday March 21, 2019 at 1:30pm with interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lijo John and the staff at Texas Oncology in Longview for taking such great care of Paul during his battle with cancer.
