Paula Diane Burt

Paula Diane Burt, age 72, of Longview, Texas passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023. Paula was born December 14, 1950 in Gladewater to the late Paul David and Ellen Rebecca Corbitt Watson. She was a lifelong resident of White Oak. Paula loved her family and God. She worked for the White Oak School District and retired in 2001. She began working for Region 7 in 2005 through 2016. Paula battled many rounds of Leukemia and fought them as a warrior. She is now resting in the arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, previous husband Donnie Turner, granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Turner and grandson, Noah Wayne Turner. Paula is survived by her loving family including her husband, Tracy Burt of Tyler; son, Gene Turner and wife Ruth Ann of Liberty City; daughter, Carrie Turner Maddox and husband Kevin of Tyler; sons, Steven Burt and wife Sheila of New Diana, Randy Burt and wife Bri of Bullard and David Burt of Lindale; grandchildren, Emily New and husband Seth, Joshua Turner, Karlie Smith, Everleigh Burt; great grandchildren, Bryce New, Sadie New, Ethan New, Rowan New, Weston Turner; sister, Loretta Doty and husband Steve of Euless and numerous other family members. The family would like to thank Hospice of East Texas and Dr. Frase and his staff with Texas Oncology. A celebration of life for Paula will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, Texas 75604.
