Robert Bob A. Main

Robert A. Main, 81, of Longview, Texas passed away on July 24, 2013 in a local nursing center. He was born on March 25, 2013 in Lowville, New York to Clarence and Ella Jane Main. He joined the U.S. Air Force and fought in the Korean War. He returned home and married Mary Elizabeth Shores on July 18, 1952, she preceded him in death in 1989. He was a welder for Trinity Steel Mill until he finally retired in 1994. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, loved to play cards and enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers.

Mr. Main is survived by: son: Dr. Robert O’Maine of Jacksonville, TX; daughter: Kathleen Azar and her husband Jeff of Alexandria, LA; granddaughters: Eileen Harber and her husband Ronnie of Daingerfield, Erin Vermillion and her husband, Matt of Rusk, Colleen Adams and her husband Justin of Noblesville, IN, Kaitlen Getz and her husband Jonathan of Spring; grandson: Ryan Perry and his wife Marie of Marshall; three great grandchildren: Rhiannon Harber, Texas Vermillion, and Reid Adams.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, Longview, Texas. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
