Tammy Munoz Martinez, you were the only link I had to my puppies before they came to my home. For weeks you sent me videos and we texted about how silly they were. You loved them like your own, and because of your kindness, patients and love, they have turned into some beautiful sweet dogs. I never met you in person, but you touched my heart with your love and devotion to rescuing. I saw how you took the hurt, lost and broken dogs that entered your home and showed them that not all humans are bad. Because of you, they learned to trust and love again. My heart is broken to know that you were taken from this world, but I know there must be alot of dogs in heaven that need your help, otherwise God wouldn't of taken you. Because of you, these babies will always know love. Enjoy your wings my friend, you earned them.

I got to know Tammy through my time in Animal Control for the city of Tyler. I picked up a cute red and white aussie mix that she saw at our shelter. She specifically asked the dispatch for me to ask questions about that cute little dog. I knew from then on we would be friends. I never met her personally, only through FB. She stole my heart with her love and care of animals. She not only made me see life as a great and caring world but always had the best words of wisdom for everyone and all gods creatures. I will miss her deeply. Oh and she got that little red and white dog out of the shelter. Forever in my heart Tammy.

I met Tammy in 1983 at a carnival, I was with her Mom’s cousin who I would marry later in July. She wasn’t just family she was friend and later a boss when I worked for her at her Donut Shop. She was a very strong woman with a strong loving heart. She was truly an angel here on earth.

It's amazing how the internet can connect people. I met Tammy playing a game on Facebook nine years ago. Throughout those years she has become a friend that I wanted to be more like. She had a heart as big as Texas. She had such love for her family, her furbabies and her friends. She was much more than a friend to me. I was able to talk to her when I was at the lowest point in my life and I would call her my savior. I miss you Tammy. Ride on angel wings my friend. ❤
