Floyd was born November 5, 1932 in Arp, Texas to Roy Green and Annie (Wasson) Arnett. He graduated from Gainsville High School in 1952. Floyd married the love of his life, Wilma Massey, November 29, 1952. Floyd and Wilma enjoyed 69 years of marriage and had two beautiful children, Floretta and Shane.
Floyd was a Mason with Rocky Mount Lodge No. 63. He served as a medic in the National Guard for 9 years. Floyd retired from Texas Eastman in 1992 after a little over 25 years of employment. Floyd was a hard worker with an incredible work ethic that he passed on to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and woodworker. Floyd enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the lights of his life. He would eagerly take them all fishing and boat riding. He taught them how to fish, swim, water ski, shoot bows and arrows, and anything else they wanted to learn.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Wilma (Massey) Arnett, daughter Floretta Wright (Gary), granddaughters Jeannie Thompson, Mitzie Willis, Kelly Casto (Nick), Christie Eddins (Stason), great grandchildren Madelyn Willis, Jonathan Willis, Hunter Casto, Parker Eddins, Conner Casto, Cooper Eddins, his sister Nancy Reed (Bill), sister-in-law Anna Mae Baker, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Floyd was greeted in Heaven by his wonderful son Shane, his father Roy Green Arnett, his mother Annie Arnett, his two brothers Roy Gene Arnett and Lloyd Arnett, and his sister Opal Hamilton.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Willis, Hunter Casto, Parker Eddins, Conner Casto, Cooper Eddins, and Nick Casto. Honorary pallbearer will be Madelyn Willis.

A time of visitation will be held for the public at Lakeview funeral home and memorial gardens, Wednesday, July the 27th from 5pm - 7pm. Additionally, a celebration of life will be held Thursday, July the 28th in the Piney woods chapel of Lakeview funeral home, located at 5000 W Harrison Rd, Longview, TX 75604.
