Virginia Bell Haskett

Longview, Texas - A celebration of life has been scheduled for Jeanie Haskett at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Lakeview Funeral Home.

Jenny went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2017.

Jeanie was born on April 28, 1937 in Beaumont, Texas and lived most of her life in Beaumont. She has resided here in Longview for about the last 28 years.

Jeanie was a transplant survivor of 12 years, and also survived many bouts with cancer.

She was a true warrior through the struggles in her life. She always leaned on Jesus to get her through them. She always was in awe and so grateful for the prayer warrior that stood behind her through her sickness.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ollie Lois Partin, and father Homer Vaughan; and great niece Cassandra Sullivan. She is survived by her two daughters Debbie Paul and her late husband Aaron Paul, of Gilmer, Texas; Linda and Ron Cross of Longview, Texas. She has four grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A sister Evelyn Scott of Longview, two nieces Tricia and Jim Boggs of Longview, Brenda and Noah Yoder of Georgetown, Texas, six great nieces and nephews, and eight great great nieces and nephews.

She was loved by her church families and people were always drawn to her love for Jesus.

This is not good-bye but so long for now. Love you and will miss you Mom.
