

Graveside services for Winnie Mae Watts of San Angelo, Texas, formerly of Greggton, will be Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. She died at her home in San Angelo on August 25, 2010.
Winnie Mae was born February 15, 1909 in Jefferson, Texas to James Elbert and Hattie Smiley, the youngest of five children. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1926.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and her husband of fifty years, Elmer Reed Watts.
They both retired from the United States Postal Service in Galveston, Texas. They both enjoyed traveling and made many exciting trips over the years.
In 1970, after retirement, they moved to Greggton. They were both members of Calvary Baptist Church in Greggton. In 1986, Winnie Mae moved to the Baptist Memorial Retirement Center in San Angelo where she continued to travel, and was very active in the Memorial Volunteer Program. She was a member of First Baptist Church of San Angelo, Texas.
She is survived by nephews, Robert Smiley of Avinger, Texas; Calvin Smiley of Shreveport, Louisiana; niece Peggy Messer of Kilgore, Texas
