It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Carlos Nava, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Born in Los Angeles, California, to Carlos Nava and Emilia Nava, Carlos lived a full and joyful life devoted to his family and the things he loved most.
Carlos is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Amparo, and his cherished children, Elizabeth Grijalva and Carlos Grijalva. He was the proud grandfather of eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, with one more blessing on the way.
A proud veteran, Carlos served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. After his service, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—barbecuing for his family, savoring his favorite apple pie, and enjoying a classic steak-and-potato meal. He loved the outdoors, especially camping, and his trips to Las Vegas and the casinos brought him endless fun. At home, he found peace in his garden, watching hummingbirds dance among the flowers.
Carlos was a passionate fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers, and he never tired of watching his favorite western films, especially those starring John Wayne. His laughter, warmth, and love will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
