

November 8, 1930 - August 14, 2013 United States Air Force Ret. Col. Cosimo "Coz" B. Mallozzi, 82, passed away August 14, 2013, from heart complications. He was born in Barre, MA, November 8, 1930 to Salvatore and Marion Mallozzi. Married to Julie Carol Baker October 24, 1959. His family was of utmost importance to him - especially his four grandchildren Hailey, Cosmo, Ryan and Rachel. Coz enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951 after taking classes at Merrimack College in Andover, MA. Four years later, he was recommended for the aviation cadet program where he was commissioned as a navigator upon completion in 1953. Throughout his military career, Coz navigated and /or was involved with the training/evaluation/testing of the following aircraft: SR-71, B-47, F-111 and B-58. The family lived on bases in Arizona, Texas, Arkansas, Nebraska and California. He had been a resident of Los Angeles since 1992. "Uncle Charlie," as he was known to his family, was preceded in death by his siblings Raffy, Stella, Mary, Terri, Johnny, Nicky and Mike. He is survived by his loving wife, son John (Terry) of Keller, TX, daughter Diann (Adam) Konrad of Los Angeles, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and numerous friends who meant the world to him. Funeral Thursday, August 22 at 2 PM at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 10425 W. Pico Blvd. Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Maryvale Orphanage, 7600 E.
