When Lois and Ron met, the fairy tale began, a love “Tailor Made by God.”
They fell in love and when Ron served in the US Army, they wrote love letters back and forth until she followed him to Germany. At just 18, Lois and Ron married, a marriage that lasted 70 years.
She was a loving mother to her two children, Cheri and Jeff. She endlessly supported her husband’s success in business while raising their wonderful children. Lois was an extraordinary and committed grandmother, often having her grandchildren over for sleepovers on the weekends when they were young. She also enjoyed being a great grandmother. Spending time with her family was Lois’s greatest joy. She and Ron took their family on countless magical vacations. Lois loved to spend time with the family at their second home in Rancho Mirage.
Lois had a love for reading and found joy in making jewelry. She had a passion for fashion, traveling, dining out, and friends. Lois had the most generous spirit, often putting others’ needs ahead of her own. She was such a giving person and friend.
She and Ron traveled around the world together. They even took their friends and family on a cruise to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, where they renewed their vows. Lois loved animals and shared her love with many cats and dogs. She was known for feeding birds, opossums, coyotes, and any animal that crossed her path.
Lois lost her soulmate 9 months ago. Now they are together for eternity.
Lois is survived by her daughter Cheri, her son Jeff, her son- in- law Alan, and her daughter-in- law Arezou, as well as her grandchildren Courtney (and Lucio) Volpi, Chelsea (and Mark) Parrish, Sophia Appel, Charlie Appel and her great grandchildren Siena Volpi, Téa Volpi, Willow Parrish and Haven Parrish. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Danny Appel. Lois will be missed by all who knew her.
