Mary Jane Duchein

Mary Jane Buschlen Duchein, born May 9, 1927 passed away on February 12, 2017 at the age of 89. Her father was Harold Clifford Buschlen and her Mother was Consuelo Cunningham. She married Henry Joseph Duchein Jr. (Jay) on February 22, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA. She is survived by her children: Derek, (married to Julie Bench), Bradley, (married to Susan Hanes), Jill, (married to Dr. John Robertson), and Steven; her grandchildren: Nathan, Meagan, Ryan, Nicole, Kyle, Whitney, Cory, Cheryl and Marshall; her great grandchildren: Joseph, Eli, Dominic, Landry, Issac, Logan, Gwenyth and Madison. She was a very loving mother and had a heart of gold spreading love and joy wherever she went. She was adored by her family. She also had a loving influence on her Nieces and Nephews: Tom, Jim, MaryJane, and Eva Linda. There are many fond memories of support and love from our traditional beach camping and school functions, to cross country trips to our Bristol cousins. She was a seamstress and baker who taught her skills to family members with a smile, a passionate reader, and an avid knitter who shared her knitting with her family making many sweaters, afghans and Christmas stockings. She even made numerous newborn hats and booties which were donated to the hospital. Most of all she was a very social person and her family enjoyed spending time with her. She touched so many lives and will always be cherished. Memorial services will be held with the family on her 90th birthday, at Fort Rosecrans National Cementary, where she will be interred with her sweetheart Jay.
