Born to Felix Luevano and Guadalupe Marentiz, Richard Luevano lived a full and joyful life centered around faith, family, and love. He passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by those who cherished him most.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Rose Marie Luevano, and his devoted children Richard Jr., James Vincent, and Ronald Joseph. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Baby Richard. Richard’s legacy continues through his 15 grandchildren, each of whom were the apple of his eye and brought him immeasurable joy.
A proud veteran, Richard honorably served his country in the United States Army for 12 years. He carried that same sense of dedication and pride into every aspect of his life.
Richard was a true sports fan—always cheering for his Dodgers, Lakers, and Rams. An avid fisherman and lover of the outdoors, he found happiness whether casting a line at his favorite fishing spot, camping under the stars, or barbecuing in his own backyard.
Those who knew Richard will remember him as a dedicated family man—outgoing, generous, and always the life of the party. His love of music was infectious; at every family gathering, you could count on him to sing with a smile.
He also cherished traveling to Oregon to visit family and remained deeply devoted to his faith throughout his life.
Richard’s warmth, humor, and love for life touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family and friends.
