Betty Josephine Trine

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Gabriel Wright and her three sisters, Lilian, Mary and Frances and her four brothers, Howard, Daniel, Patrick and Tom.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-three years, Larry Trine. She is also survived by her seven children: Mike Trine and daughter-in-law, Beth; Tom Trine, Teri Wright and son-in-law, Tom; Dennis Trine and daughter-in-law, Mary; Greg Trine and daughter-in-law, Juanita ; Mary Dorroh; and Tim Trine and daughter-in-law, Mary Beth. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Betty was born on January 22, 1929 in Woseley, Sacketchewan in Canada. She graduated from St. Leo’s High School in Tacoma, Washington in 1943 and from St. Joseph’s Hospital Nursing School in 1951. Betty worked as a registered nurse in Seattle, Tacoma, and Bellevue Washington for many years.

Betty met her husband, Larry Trine, while in nursing school. They were married in 1952 and had seven children together. Betty’s greatest love was her family and her Lord Jesus. She loved to sew for her children, volunteer in her church, garden and play bridge. She leaves a great legacy of faith to her family who will miss her deeply.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service for Betty at 2pm on Saturday, December 5th at The Crossing Church in San Luis Obispo.
