Gemma N. Salting

Gemma was born in San Pablo, Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Celedonio and Gilda Narito. In 1976 she moved to the U.S. with her siblings, joining her parents who had worked the fields of California to bring their children to America. She grew up on the Central Coast in Morro Bay and Los Osos, and that stretch of coastline grew to be her favorite place in the world. Gemma loved the Lord above all. She would wake up early each morning to read her bible and spend time with Him, helped build a church in the Philippines, and spent her life gently leading others to Jesus. She found the most joy in the simple, beautiful things: running half marathons, hiking, long walks, wildflowers, her garden, cooking for the people she loved, wine tasting with friends, karaoke, bringing people together, and laughing her infectious laugh. More than anything, she treasured family and legacy. She leaves behind her sweetheart and husband, Danny Salting; her baby girl, Janaiah McClure; and her baby boy, Isaiah Salting. We feel comfort today knowing that Gemma is dancing full of joy in the presence of her Lord, receiving the reward of a life lived obediently and faithfully for Him.

A visitation will be held at Los Osos Valley, 2260 Los Osos Valley Road, Los Osos, CA 93402, US, on September 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
