Gloria Rose Davis

Gloria Rose Davis, beloved and resilient, passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on January 7, 1926 in San Francisco, Gloria was the daughter of Vincent Salvo from Palermo, Italy, and Rose Salvo, a native of San Francisco. She was one of seven children, the third oldest in her family.

Gloria spent her career as a dedicated bookkeeper at DOW Chemical, where she was known for her patience and selflessness. After retiring from Fresno, California, she moved to the beautiful Central Coast to enjoy her retirement with her husband, Irvin Davis.

In 1948, Gloria married Irvin Davis, and together they raised four wonderful children: Nancy, Janis, Dale, and Mark. Gloria was a gentle and loving grandmother to nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment was reaching the age of 100 and witnessing her family and legacy grow.

In her personal life, Gloria enjoyed reading James Patterson novels and was known for her skill in golf. She also had a passion for working on puzzles, particularly enjoying those with 1,000 pieces.

Gloria's life was marked by her gentle nature and her ability to face challenges with resilience. At her birthday party, she humorously remarked, "No one told me I couldn't do it," a testament to her enduring spirit.

Gloria Rose Davis will be remembered fondly by her family and friends in Los Osos, California, and beyond. Her legacy of love and perseverance continues to inspire those who knew her.
