Helga H Zimmerer

Helga H. Zimmerer, age 92, of Morro Bay, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024. Born in Germany, Helga and her beloved husband of 61 years, Egon, proudly immigrated to the United States in the early ‘60s. She is survived by her two children, son Peter, daughter Karin and son-in-law Ken, who fondly remember their family memories.

Over 30 years ago, Helga and Egon happily retired to the Central Coast, where they embraced the beauty of nature after their years travelling and exploring both this country and the world. They shared a love for the outdoors and compassion for animals, especially their beloved pets.

Helga was known for her kindness and outgoing spirit. She had a remarkable ability to strike up conversations with anyone, often turning those encounters into lifelong friendships. As a mother, she was loving and caring, always speaking her mind. Her daughter admired her strength, lovingly describing her as both a force of nature and a piece of work.

Helga’s friends knew her for her directness and authenticity; she was open-hearted and deeply cared for those she loved. Being a friend of Helga’s was a memorable experience, filled with warmth and genuine connection.

Living life to the fullest, Helga, like her husband, passed away quickly and on her own terms. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no memorial service; however, her family humbly requests that you keep her in your happy thoughts. In lieu of flowers if you are able, we would encourage donations to charities that support animals and children, honoring Helga’s charitable spirit.

Helga H. Zimmerer will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
