

Martin "Jerry" Levine passed away on December 13, 2025 at 85 years of age. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Shirley "Simone" (Bailey) Levine; his son Jeff Levine of Columbus, Ohio; daughter Julie (Levine) Elsberry of Bakersfield, California; and his three grandsons Jayce, Daniel, and Alec.
Jerry grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Jerry served in the U. S. Army as a Military Policeman. He trained at the Jersey City Medical Center and the Mayo Clinic School of Nurse Anesthesiology. He worked as a Nurse Anesthesiologist in San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande and relief anesthesia traveling around in 11 states. His last full-time job was in Cottonwood, AZ, retiring in 2005.
Jerry was an avid singer of barbershop quartet Harmony. He was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (originally known as SPEBSQSA), belonging to many quartets and choruses. Although he couldn't read music, he heard all 4 parts in his head. He and his wife traveled all over the world to attend international conventions and contests.
